Our collaboration with senapsa GmbH began back in 2019 when we received a request to develop an innovative grocery delivery service in Germany. This project, named Shocas, became a vivid example of teamwork and long-term partnership between the two companies. As part of our collaboration, we created and continually improved a unique app that has become the true "Uber" of grocery delivery.
Recently, we successfully completed a significant update of Shocas, adding new functionalities and enhancing the user interface. How the Shocas App Works
The Shocas app is designed to help people who lack the time or ability to shop for themselves. A unique feature of Shocas is the ability to act as both a customer and a supplier providing delivery services.
The main idea of Shocas is based on a simple yet effective crowdsourcing model that allows users to delegate shopping tasks to others. App Mechanics:
- Shopping List Creation: The user creates a list of necessary items by selecting from a variety of available stores. Since users prefer flexibility, we have provided the option to manually add new stores if the desired one is not in the suggested list.
- Supplier Selection: We implemented a supplier selection mechanism, which is a key element of the crowdsourcing model. As part of the project, we conducted extensive integration with major retailers in Germany: Lidl, Netto, and Aldi. Lidl has over 450 branches, Netto operates a network of more than 4,000 stores, while Aldi remains a turnover leader with a figure of around 27 billion euros and 4,200 branches. Users can choose a supplier for order fulfillment, which increases trust and personalization of the service.
- Purchasing and Delivery: Based on our experience with logistics applications, we developed an optimized purchasing and delivery process. The supplier purchases items from the selected store and delivers them directly to the customer's door. The customer can track the order status in real-time, as well as the exact delivery time considering traffic and road conditions.

- Real-Time Order Tracking: We implemented a complete tracking system that allows users to monitor the delivery process at every stage – from agreeing on the shopping list with the supplier to instantly checking the delivery location and discussing details with the supplier in real-time.
- Eco-Friendly Trading: Among our clients, many pursue higher goals rather than just financial returns from the project. Similarly, senapsa GmbH, which commissioned the development of Shocas, pays great attention to environmental issues. Deliveries are made without additional packaging, reducing waste volume and supporting ecological sustainability.
- User-Friendly Interface and Integration: Based on our analysis of the German market, our audience's preferences, and research on leading logistics projects, we created an advanced and intuitive interface. Special attention was given to navigation convenience and quick access to core functions, allowing users to place orders easily and quickly. - Additional Earnings Opportunities: The primary goal of senapsa GmbH was to create an app that allows users to earn money by fulfilling grocery delivery orders.
